Why Sponsor?
The HITS Act allows independent artists to deduct fees paid for their work, including performances and commissions. This deduction is available to musicians, visual artists, writers, and other creators not signed to any major labels or studios. Artists (and “Investors” or “Sponsors”) can also deduct related expenses such as materials, studio time, and travel costs incurred while promoting their work. As self-employed individuals, they report income and expenses on Schedule C forms, which can potentially lower their taxable income. Keeping detailed records of income and expenses is essential for substantiating these deductions. The act aims to provide financial relief, encouraging more individuals to pursue careers in the arts. By reducing tax burdens, it fosters a diverse and vibrant creative community. Investing in (or sponsoring) VONA Studio’s artists not only supports their growth but also aligns your brand with innovative talent, enhancing your visibility in the creative industry.
• Investing in artists can be a beneficial tax write-off because it supports the growth of creative talent while providing potential returns on investment.
• Additionally, businesses can enhance their brand visibility and community engagement through partnerships with artists, creating a win-win situation for both parties.
What Are VONA Hearts?
VONA Hearts go 100% toward the support of our artists & creative endeavors. This funding will be directed towards acquiring and maintaining quality equipment, touring logistics, marketing, creating stream-able content, and an assortment of other ways to help artists grow & find their audience. Hearts can be designated specifically for artists to fund studio related services like recording, mixing & mastering, visual artwork, and/or visualizers to help maintain consistency. We keep detailed records of all transactions, allowing contributions to qualify for tax deductions under the HITS Act. By supporting VONA Hearts, you contribute to our mission of building an independent network created to connect with the world.
